Microsoft 365 users had a tough experience after struggling to gain access to Outlook and OneDrive key features.
According to reports, the outage started surfacing around 2:34 pm on downdetector. The complaints peaked at 3:19 pm in India on Downdetector. Another report suggested that Microsoft Teams has also been affected by the outage.
Microsoft admitted the issue and informed about the same on its Microsoft 365 status page. It posted on X, “We’re investigating an issue where some users may be unable to access Microsoft 365 apps for the web. We’re reviewing service monitoring telemetry to isolate the root cause and develop a remediation plan. For more information, please refer to OO953223 in the admin center.”
Microsoft also said that a few users a makeshift can work. It further posted on X, “While we focus on identifying the root cause, as a workaround, users may be able to access their Microsoft 365 apps and documents via the desktop applications. For more information, please refer to OO953223 in the admin center.”
The outage occurred for the second time in two weeks. The previous outage had affected a large number of users of key services like Outlook and Teams.
