Realme has officially announced that the Realme 16 5G is set to launch in India on April 2, bringing its latest mid-range smartphone to the market. This device, which was previously revealed in global markets, promises a fantastic blend of performance, battery life, and durability.
According to the company, the Realme 16 5G will feature an impressive 7,000mAh battery, one of the largest in its category. It will also support 60W fast charging, designed to minimize downtime even with such a hefty battery.
The phone will sport a 6.57-inch display and will be available in two stylish colors Air Black and Air White. Realme has also introduced a distinctive “selfie mirror” design on the rear camera module, allowing users to snap selfies with the primary camera.
On the software side, the Realme 16 5G will come pre-installed with Android 16 and Realme UI 7.0. The company has committed to providing three years of Android updates and four years of security support.
This smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, mirroring its global variant. For photography enthusiasts, it will likely include a 50-megapixel primary camera along with a secondary depth sensor.
Realme has also emphasized durability and thermal performance as standout features. The device will incorporate a vapor chamber cooling system and boast an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
After the Realme 16 5G launches in India, it will be available for purchase through Flipkart and Realme’s official website.
